Limavady was a center for the O'Kane clan. There was an O'Kane who was Prince od Limavady. I have been there and met the Mayor. My great uncle was James O'Kane who came to America in 1836. I would like to see an O'Kane web site too, but don't have the knowledge to start one myself. There are many O'Kanes now in County Derry. My wife and I were the only Americans to attend the first gathering of the O'Kane clan in 398 years. It was held in County Derry in July 1991. It was in Limavady that we received a lecture on the O'Kane clan by T. Mullins author of the Book Ulster Clans which includes much info on the O'Kanes
