O'Kanes from Boherbrack, Dingle, Kerry
My gr-gr-grandmother was a Mary O'Kane or Keane, from Boherbrack, Lispole, on the Dingle Peninsula. She married my gr-gr-grandfather, Laurence Kevane, (Kavanagh) at Lispole on 11 Feb 1823.
All that is known of the rest of the family is that whoever was left of that name emigrated to the US and there are no Keanes in Boherbrack now. Mary probably had a brother Sean, who seems to have had a son, or nephew, Jeremiah. Jeremiah, was listed in the 1901 Census as being at Boherbrack with his children. These were Pat, Kate (b. c1880), Jeremiah (1886), Thomas (1888), and Michael (1891). At least Pat and Kate emigrated to San Francisco abt 1903. Which parts of the US the others went to is not known
