In Reply to: The O'Kanes from county Antrim Ireland by Gertrude Mcgrath O'Kane of 431

I've received two letters from a Great Uncle Joseph O'Kane with an address of 18 College Square North, Belfast. The letters are dated 1917 and 1918. He states he's over 77 years old which would put his birth at about 1841. He references a cousin Ned that lives about 35 miles from Belfast. He was writing to my Aunt Annie (O'Kane) Kerrigan. The letters are wonderful to have and peaked my interest in finding family from Ireland. Joseph's brother was Henry O'Kane (married to Ann Quinn) from Lewiston Maine. He had a son James O'Kane born in Lewiston Maine October 12, 1892. Any information anyone has about my Irish relatives from Antrim County would be appreciated. I'm the Grandson of James born in Rumford Maine 1953.
