My great grandfather was Cornelius O'KANE from Antrim Ireland. He was born in 1842. I am trying to get information about his parents or siblings to continue tracing back our family tree.

So far I have that he travelled to the US in the late 1860s.

I know he married Margaret McCONNELL born in Ireland 1855.

(I have a theory that they met in the US and moved to England)

I know they had 9-11 children (i think 2 died very young)
Margaret born - 1874
Elizabeth -1876
Daniel -1881
John -1882
Catherine(Kate?) -1885
Cornelius - 1886
Rose -1889
James Patrick -1891
Charles Oswin -1893

all born in Wallsend parish, England

My mother told me that her Great Aunt Lizzie lived to be about 105. Possibly your Elizabeth O'Kane? Did she live till about 1981?

P.S. My mother is Gertrude O'Kane McGrath from previous post.
