Hi ....

I'm new to this forum. I did a lot of research a number of years ago that led to an initial outline of my O'KANE ancestors. I have recently retired and now have some free time to devote to this hobby once again.

It would be great if I could 'hook up' with anyone investigating ........ my gggparents !

Michael O'Kane b. Sept 21, 1821 Kilrush, Co. Clare, IRE
d. June 20, 1893 (Wilberforce (?), ON)

Catherine O'Gorman b. Dec 25, 1825 Kilrush, Co. Clare, IRE
d. April 9, 1920 Eganville, ON

They had 10 children :

4 are unknown
2 daughters : Hanna and Catherine
4 sons : Jacob, Simon, Michael and Thomas

My ggfather was Thomas married to Catherine Walsh. They had children Matt, Arnold, Leslie, Willy, John, Michael, Elizabeth and 1 unknown.

My gfather was John married to Mary Cordelia Vincent. They had children James, William and Mary.

My father is James O'Kane married to Rhoda Lance.

Most of my immediate families roots are in the Ottawa Valley area of Ontario.

During my research, like others I have encountered variations of my O'KANE surname that include : O'Kean, O'Kain, O'Cain, Kane, Cain, Keane etc etc

I have additional detail from this generation down to myself. If these names ring a bell with anyone I would appreciate exchanging information.
