Hi. Although I can't help you at all with Michael O'KANE or Bridget PENDY it looks like we are both researching the same KANE family. I have Catherine or Kathleen KANE, born at Makauri in 1875, the daughter of Thomas KANE Mary O'GRADY marrying Herbert Henry MAXFIELD born 1881, at Poverty Bay Gisborne 25 JUL 1917. Their known children are Thomas Henry MAXFIELD born 278 Gladstone Street Gisborne 2 JUN 1918, and Aileen Mavis MAXFIELD born at Childers Road Gisborne 20 JUL 1921. When Catherine died at the Cook Hospital at Gisborne on 4 OCT 1937 her usual place of address was shown as Willows Estate Matawhero (??). Thomas Henry MAXFIELD, the husband of Mary Bridget McKENNA born at Dingle, County Kerry died at25 Hillcrest Avenue Rotorua 25 JUL 1981.
