Is anyone familiar with this cemetery? A 2003 survey of this cemetery was posted online. The survey included an email address for contact, but it is no longer a valid address. That survey included a stone for “Mrs. Bradford” with no other data or comment. We think we have identified “Mrs. Bradford” but would like some verification about this stone ... Is it a very old stone - about 100 years old? Is the name all that appears on the stone or, perhaps, is the name the only thing that could be read? It is our belief that “Mrs. Bradford” is Anna (Annie) Watkins Bradford, born ca 1836 in GA (she was sister of my great grandmother); married James Bradford ca 1867 in GA; died between 1905 & 1910 in Washita Co, OK. In support of our belief: (1) info from a descendant (whom we’ve been unable to contact) that she “died at Weatherford, OK; buried Plainview Cemetery, SE Weatherford”. (2) James & Annie Bradford are in the 1900 census for Fannin Co, GA. (3) The 1910 census for Washita Co, OK includes son of James & Anna ... Elias Bradford, age 36, born GA. One child, age 5, was born in TN; another child, age 3, was born in OK; this indicates the family arrived in OK between 1905 & 1910. Also living with Elias & family is his father, James Bradford, age 65, born GA. Anna Bradford is not listed in the 1910 census. Elias Bradford is listed in the 1920 census for Caddo Co, OK; father James Bradford is no longer with him; it is assumed that James died between 1910 & 1920; no burial information found. In the 1930 census, Elias Bradford is in Blaine Co, OK. Thank you very much. Notify Administrator about this message?
