Hello, I am not sure what exactly you are looking for but I am a Carter from this area. Cordell is in Washita County, Oklahoma in the South West part of the state. It is about 100 miles west Oklahoma City off of Highway 152. If you look at a map, you will find that Cordell is about 16 miles south of I-40 at the Clinton exit.
I think I have talked to you before but I am not certain. My Carter line extends from Thomas Henry Carter out of Pike County, Arkansas. Grandville Carter is my great grandfather and Curtis Carter is my grandfather. If this is the line of Carter's you are looking for please let me know. I am aware that there was 2 lines of Carter's in the Washita and Custer county area so I cannot tell you if I am familiar with your line or not as of yet. I will try to help you in this any way that I can.
