Connie, I was born and raised in Bartlesville and this is the first time I've heard such a story. I'm 100% sure it never happened. My father and grandmother graduated from the Bartlesville school system in the 1950s and '30s respectively, and neither mentioned such a fire. In fact, the high school my grandmother graduated from still stands. I've also read local histories and none reported such a tragedy.
