Need a history lesson-Washington Co. OK.

Need some info on the now extinct, McFall, which was in Washington Co.OK. ca. 1895-1900

I found a map, with the word Copan, and an arrow indicating Washington Co. OK.

Is McFall now Copan? Would someone share the history of the area?

I am looking for a family who had/took in a child, Alvin/Alvah Thorp/Tharp, b. ca 1884,in IL. His grandparents on his paternal side were from NJ., I know nothing of his maternal line except the mothers name, Louella(Missouri)Ford/Tharp. Both parents had d. and children were divided.

In his grandfather's Will, it stated, Alvin Tharp was in McFall,Indian Territory. (1895-1900)

Jan
