Osenbaugh, Witt, Frantz

My ancestor's sister, Elsie Osenbaugh, was in the Texas Co, OK census in 1920 and 1930. She was married to Ed or Edgar Witt. Their kids were:

Vernon Witt, born abt. 1920

Jewell Witt, born abt. 1917. She married Kenneth C. Frantz in 1939 in Harper Co, OK. This is his obituary:

GUYMON, Okla. - Kenneth C. Frantz, 82, died Wednesday, July 16, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Odie Nunley, interim minister at First Baptist Church of
Hardesty, officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.

Mr. Frantz was born in Perryton, Texas. He spent his early years in the Texas Panhandle. He attended Panhandle A&M College at Goodwell and graduated with a master's degree in agriculture from Oklahoma State University at Stillwater.

He married Jewell Witt in 1939 at Buffalo. He was a professor at Murray State College at Tishomingo before moving back to the Oklahoma Panhandle. He and his wife lived on the Hitch Ranch for 25 years before moving to Guymon in 1967. Mrs. Frantz died in 1996.

Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Monroe of Guymon and Barbara Crawford of Balko; a son, Don Frantz of Noble; two sisters, Marcena Elledge of Pueblo, Colo., and Maxine Burns of Exeter, Calif.; a brother, Lewis Frantz of Spearman, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Kenneth Frantz Memorial has been established for the Loaves & Fishes Food Cupboard. Memorials will be accepted at Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, Okla. 73942.
