I know that you wrote this awhile ago and may already have this info. but just in case you didn't I looked it up for you. So far I can't find Robert in 1900 but I'm still looking.

1910 Berlin TWP, Roger Mills Co. OK
Ford, Robert, Head, 34, TX TX GA, Farmer
----Amanda, Wife, 41, TN TN TN,
Martin, Henry, Stepson, 15, OK TN TN, Farm Labor
----Vergil, Stepson, 13, OK TN TN, Farm Labor
Ford, Dow, Son, 13, TX TX TN
----Dewey, Son, 11, TX TX TN
---Mamie, Daughter, 8, OK TX TN
---?laud, Son, 7, OK TX TN
--Rosa, Daughter, OK TX TN
This census shows that Robert and Amanda had been married for 1 year and that Amanda had 8 children with 5 still living at the time of this census.

This family lived about 4 or five doors down from James H. Elrod…
Elrod, James H., Head, 38, TN TN TN Farmer
---Nora, Wife, 29, TN TN TN
---Olie, (I think that is what is says), Daughter, 12, TX TN TN
---Ruban, Son 9, TX TN TN
---Carl, Son, 7, TX TN TN
---Vergil, Son, 1 3/12, TX TN TN

In 1900 I found James H. Elrod in Texas:
1900 Grayson County, Texas Census
Elrod, James H., Head, born June 1871, age 28, TN TN TN Farmer
---Nora, Wife, born Dec 1880, age 19, TN TN TN
---Allie M. (could be Ollie M.), Daughter, born June 1898, age 1, TX TN TN

There were a lot of "Ford's" in the 1900 Grayson county TX census but your Robert didn't seem to be there.
