Mary, Sometimes you can find early obits. In Oklahoma City there is a Historical Society Library in the Historical building that is close to the Capital Building. There is also a Newpaper Division that has most newspapers on microgilm. You might also check the Libraries in the area where a person died they sometimes have local papers on microfilm.
In the Pushmataha Cemetery book I found lots of Smiths. I did not find Kansa Elizabeth Rains SCOTT. If she had TB she may have been in a special treatment place for TB. They use to send people with TB to Sanatariums for TB. She may have been burried close to that place.
I found the following SCOTTS in Cemetery book.
William Cury SCOTT 25 Feb. 1891 - 6 April 1944
Addie Louise 1931-1967
Lurtis W. (Lart) 31 Mar. 1917-9 Oct. 1970
C.C. SCOTT 8 Feb. 1897-13 Sep. 1920 he is in Antlers Cemetery.
Rosa Bell Scott 1905-1941
There is a supplament to the cemetery book that I have by Kay Brown Black. It is available at the Antlers museum. It has some people in it that were not in the cemetery book. I believe she had taken them from newpapers etc. I think it is available for purchase.
Hope this helps. Happy Hunting Carletta
