Hi Wendy,
I am looking for info on the Frank S smith family. Frank is my grandfather. We know that his family came from MS. He is supposed to be Cherokee. He was in the civil war.Records show he was enlisted in TN. After the war he went to TX, then OK. There is very little on him until the 1910 census.
There he was in McCurtain County. He was married to Eliza. They had five children, Mattie, Cora, Mary, Jackson (Jack), and Francis Marion. Before Eliza he had been married and had a son Leroy. Maybe they were connected to your Mary Smith. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Janie
