1890-1920 Sheriffs of Pott. Co. Information needed!

I'm trying to find a book, articles, or information on Pottawatomie County sheriffs during the 1890-1920 era.

My g-grandfather, George William Davenport, was a deputy sheriff during this time and I'd love to find anything about his stint of 15 years.

He served under Sheriffs Dink Pierce & Bill Grace.

I contacted the Sheriff Office to no avail.
I tried the local Genealogical Group without success.

Surely there are books, newspaper items, or something about the sheriff and sheriff's office during this time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Mae Davenport Cox
