O.K. ! Will see what else I can find. I have found some items on the Carter family in Rootsweb..there's a good amount of McIntosh Co. information there. Lee Carter was City Clerk 1923 - 1927. His parents and family were on the 1900 census in Indian Territory -
Creek Nation.
Have you seen the Calif death records info for Winnie ?
Her mother's maiden name was given as Goforth, not Davis.
This could be a mistake made by relative giving info at time of her death.
The only Margaret Milligan I've found so far in 1930 is in Nowata, Ok. Her husband is John (E. I think), born in Indiana, and Margaret is listed as 50 years old & born in Missouri. Will keep looking for Mrs. Milligan in McAlester for that time though.
