Hello again - I sure can't find them in McAlester area in 1920 !! Are you familiar with the 'soundex code' that searches for every name that sounds like the name you're searching for.. it gets all different spellings of the name.. I've searched 1910, 1920, and 1930 U.S. census indexes in ancestry.com and can't find those names.. here's a couple of things of interest: . In 1910 Pittsburg Co., Ok., Dow Township there's a family :
. Thomas Milagin, age 42, born in Texas (blacksmith in coal mine); his wife is Lue, age 39, born in Tn. (could Lue be Margaret L.?) -- the children are Beecher, age 16,son; Almo?xxor Amos, age 15, son; and Eliza.,age 13.. all children born in Texas. Could Thomas be Jack ?
________________ AND the next census is the closest I've found for the name Winnie Haines that perhaps could be your family........ do you think they were ever in Missouri?? The census as follows: . 1910 Dunklin County, Mo., Union Township, Page 29A - - Head of household(husband): Theodore Weldridge, age 55, born Kentucky; wife is Maggie Weldridge, age 35, born in Arkansas; Nellie, age 19, daughter(that's relationship to HEAD of household),so Nellie is HIS daughter, she's born in Arkansas; and .. WINNIE HAINES - STEPDAUGHTER, age 16, born in ARKANSAS. Winnie's birth year would be 1894 or 1895 the way I figure it & that's close to your Winnie's birthyear isn't it ? Both Theodore Weldridge & wife Maggie reported on the census that this is their 2nd marriage. -
.. I don't know what else I can look for - wish I could help more, but.... The name Milligan is spelled LOTS of different ways on those census !! Bev
