From the "Yale Record" newspaper, Yale, OK, Feb. 14, 1935, page 1, col. 2---
"Dr. J.D. Mitchell
Dr. J.D. Mitchell, age 56, son of Dr. P.S. Mitchell of Yale, passed Wade C. Mitchell of Yale, passed away at Las Cruces, New Mexico, February 1, 1935 of Asthma.
The body was shipped to Yale where funeral was held at the Baptist church by Rev. Jones of Perry and interment made in the Lawson cemetery under the direction of the Barringer Funeral Home."

and on page 5--
"Mrs. Ora Vroon of Joshua, Texas, is visiting her father, Dr. P.S. Mitchell and other relatives in Yale."
