Does anyone have a James "Jim" Hawkins b. 1874 in Kansas, d. 1942 in Payne County Oklahoma. He had a home in Yale, OK. with his wife Samantha b.1875 & children Lowell C.; Kenneth; Thelma; George; Cecil & Herman. Also his mother Mary J. Hawkins lived with them.
Mary & her grandson Lowell died in 1918 and are buried at the Underwood Cemetery in Payne County. Jim is also buried there, he d. 1945, his wife "Mattie" d. 1917, also buried at Underwood.
I am unable to find them in any census except Kansas 1880 when James was a child.
I'm also triing to find Mary's death record, but have had no luck.
So I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this family. Anything might be the clue I've been looking for.
Mary Jane Hawkins was my gg grandmother, b.1837 in VA. d.1918 probably OK. We believe her maiden name was Schallonberger.
