Isaac N. Rutter Dies in Kansas City
I.N. Rutter, a pioneer settler of Pawnee Co., died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Powell, in Kansas City, last Monday at the extreme age of 96 years, 6 mo., and 21 days.
Isaac N. Rutter was bornin Ohio in 1820.Twenty-three years ago he came west and settled at Arkansas City, Kansas.
At the opening of this country he came to Pawnee, where he resided until about six years ago when he went to make his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Powell of Kansas City.Mr. Rutter was well known in Pawnee and was the father of John Rutter, one time sheriff of Pawnee County.
The remains arrived in Pawnee, accompanied by a grandson, Chas. Powell, and interment was had in Highland Cemetery at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon.
