I hate to bother you all again. I'm trying to get all the documents together to apply for Cherokee enrollment for my husband and my kids and keep running across more stuff I need.
I'm looking for an obit for John Benjamin Jones. Last known address was in Cardin, OK. He also lived in Picher, OK. Died in June 1981 according to Social Security records and in other trees on ancestory.com he died May 9, 1981 in Baxter Springs, KS. I believe he died in Ottawa Co. and was buried in the VA cemetery in Baxter Springs and that's caused some confusion.
John Jones was born July 16, 1896 in Indian Territory Arkansas. He went by Ben and Benny during his life. He's also gone by John Benjamin Franklin Jones. Married to Lily Frances Elizabeth Watson who died in Picher, OK in 1934.
