I checked the census in 1880, he was there as a Lead & Zinc Miner at Webb City Mo. that is one of the first place there was lead & zinc mines, but Picher did not find lead & Zinc here till 1916.Check Joplin Mo. there Library has alot of mining things. But there is no! way he could have been in Picher in 1887, then is was Quapaw Dist. No 11 Indian Terriroy.
