I am looking for information on the family of Eugene 'Gene' Curtis Darby who is found on the 1920 census in Jackson County, MO. He is married and is a theatrical performer. I cannot read the name of his wife on the census. The name of his daughter is Gene Madeline (b. Aug. or Sept. 1919 in OK)
I know Gene was alive when his father died in 1933 in OK as he is mentioned in the obit. The last record I find of Eugene is in October 1934 when his name appears in a theatrical ad in a Los Angeles paper.
Does anyone know the name of his wife?
What became of the daughter, Gene Madeline and her mother?
Where in OK was Gene Madeline born (perhaps in Osage County where Eugene's father lived on the 1920 census?)
When/where did Eugene (the father) die? Where buried?
