"A Standard History of Oklahoma" (1916, by Joseph Thoburn) has the biography of George LaMotte of Pawhuska, Osage OK. The biography states that George LaMotte leased more than 400,000 acres from the Osage Indians and was one of the largest producers of cattle & livestock in the state of Oklahoma. After his first wife died in 1908, he married Anna Marx McGuire (former wife of Congressman Bird McGuire) who became his business partner. By 1930 they were divorced and Anna moved to Kansas City. What became of George LaMotte?
