I have been searching for several years for an old cemetery that would have been in the flood plain of the Oologah Lake and the graves had to be relocated prior to the completion of the lake. My grandmother had always referred to this as "an Old Indian Cemetery close to Alluwe". I haven't been able to document her parents, or why she was buried there. Her mother was Mary M. Stice Pearson, she died in Feburary 1902 or 1903. Spouse was Charles E. Pearson. They lived at Ramona, Washington co., Oklahoma and I have been told he was the pastor of a Freewill Baptist Church there. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate hearing from you. I asked at Benjamin Funeral Service about 2 years ago and was told their records are in storage. I don't know who was in charge of the services and have been unable to locate an obituary. Thanks for taking your time to read and help. Barbara Jordan Straw barbarastraw@aol.com Notify Administrator about this message?
