Coody's Bluff is East of Nowata on US Highway 60. I have heard about this while growing up in Nowata County.
The Nowata Historical Society is locaated at 121 S. Pine, Nowata, Ok 74048 Phone 918-273-1191; Another source might be to contact the County clerk's office at the Courthouse.
229 N. Maple, Nowata, Ok 74048 Pho: 918-273-2480. The assessors office is just across the hall so they could refer you if they don't have the information handy.
Probably none of the employees are old enough to remember but with the legal description maps available showing Coody's Bluff it would be possible to cross reference to the land entries back to that date.
