Looking for any info on a James Oval (or Oval James) Walker - he was born in Yell, Arkansas Feb. 2, 1896 and moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma between 1923 and 1930 with his wife, Bartney Margaret Thomas (they were married in Arkansas).

James was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and at the time of his death was connected with the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company. He held the degree of bachelor of electrical engineering from the University, class of 1921.

James was a veteran of the first World War and held high offices in the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and also was a member of the VFW Marine post in Brooklyn as well as an officer in the Society of the Third Division, AEF.

James Oval Walker died on June 19, 1944 and was buried in the Green Hill Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma where his wife is also buried.

I have searched for info on James for many years and decided to give this another try with this info - would appreciate any info or to be lead to any direction that might help me find more about his. I know he was wounded in the war also.
Thank you, Darlene (email:
