If no one has sent you one yet, you might write to the library, sending them a small donation and a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

If someone has sent you one already, it would be polite of you to post a follow-up saying you had it, to prevent others who saw your post from looking it up again.

You can generally tell how sucessful your request is going to be by looking at other posts with the words

"Obit lookup please - {name, date}

in the heading, and seeing if they have a reply. That is, if the people who posted used that phrase in their heading. If not, you have to read the first 100 messages to see if they asked for an obit.
