I have checked several places here in Oklahoma, unable to find a Crenshaw, Oklahoma, in 1923.

I did come across a town by the name
CHICKASHA, Oklahoma. Do you think they
miss spelled Crenshaw??

CHICKASHA. Formerly Pensee. County seat of Grady County. Post office name changed to Chickasha, June 20, 1892. Record Town for Recording District No. 19, Indian Territory.
Chickasha is the correct spelling of CHICKASAW, but the popular pronunciation of the word is incorrect.

Hope this information will help.
