Silas Layton, of England, who lived on a farm and died in England in 1839. He had three sons; John Layton Sr., Silas Jr., and Jacob Layton.

John Layton Sr, born in England, near London in 1776; emigrated to America in 1801; came from Baltimore to Hagerstown, MD, by stage and canal, remaining there awhile, then going to PA and settling in Dauphin Co. with his two brothers. Descendants of John Layton Sr. migrated to Kansas and arriving in Oklahoma about 1892.

Silas Jr. & Jacob went to Kentucky in 1809 and all trace of them was lost. I am currently seeking for the families who have descended from Silas Jr. & Jacob.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Mahalo!
S. Layton-Viehweg
