FREDERICK, TILLMON CO, OK >GOSNEL
Posted by: Penny Date: August 18, 1998 at 21:06:16

Am seeking information on founder of Frederick, Tillmon Co, OK. His name was SANFORD N. GOSNEL. He was born 27 Oct 1855 near Little Rock, Pulaski Co, AR. He was an ordained Baptist minister. The town of Frederick was established and named Gosnel 5 Nov 1901 and renamed Frederick 30 Set 1902 after the son of the railroad owner. SANFORD N. GOSNEL was the first postmaster and established the first Baptist Church. Can anyone provide any info on SANFORD N. GOSNEL or tell me where I might find church records for the first Baptist church established in Frederick (Gosnel), OK? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
