The only thing close to National City in Oklahoma was the National Stock Yards ~ a part of Oklahoma City,OK. My first thought was he had four names like my great uncles ~ Johann Gottfried Georg Lehenbauer ~ John Wesley was a much used name as he was famous for bring about the Protestant movement I think. Cyrus is also a great Bibical name.
The sun.
Biblical context        The Biblical baby name Cyrus is Persian in origin and it's meaning is the sun. The Hebrew name for Cyrus used in the Bible is Koresh.

Cyrus is pronounced sai-rus.

Cyrus the great was the founder of the Persian Empire. He conquered Babylon and liberated the captive Jews. Cyrus provided finances and materials to rebuild Jerusalem. The prophet Daniel lived at the court of Cyrus for a while.
