Son of Mrs Sophia BOETTGER, Box 28, Rural Route #5; born Oct 2, 1892,
Denison Co, IA; educated in OK schools; entered service Jul 24, 1918;
overseas to France Aug 1918; 82nd Co, 23rd Bat, 165th Depot Brigade, and
overseas Co B, 124th Inf, 31st Div; trans Co D, 102nd Inf, 26th Div;
short time on the firing line; discharged Camp Pike, AR, Apr 1919.       35,y       

BOETTGER, Chas. J. Pvt Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Son of Mrs Sophia BOETTGER, Box 28, Rural Route #5; born Feb 8, 1897,
Oklahoma Co, OK; educated in OK schools; entered service Jul 25, 1918;
ordered to Camp Fremont, CA; Co I, 12th Inf; was aboard ship (3) days
awaiting sailing orders, but the armistice prevented; discharged at Camp
Dodge, IA, Oct 22, 1919.       35,y       

BOETTGER, Martin J. Pvt Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Son of Mrs Sophia BOETTGER, Box 28, Rural Route #5; born Feb 7, 1895,
Denison Co, IA; educated in OK schools; entered service Sep 1917; Co A,
357th Inf, 90th Div; overseas to France Sep 1917; Co E, 110th Inf;
fought at St Mihiel and the Argonne. Killed in action Oct 1, 1918, while
delivering amessage neat the town of Appremont, in Argonne, and was
buried by the Chaplain near where he fell. He gave his life that
aChristian world might live.       35,y

to Ft Riley, and was attached to Motor Truck Co E; transferred to Ft
Ontario, NY, Base Hops # 70. Did not go overseas; discharged Jul
1919.overseas to France Aug 1918; 82nd Co, 23rd Bat, 165th Depot Brigade,
and overseas Co B, 124th Inf, 31st Div; trans Co D, 102nd Inf, 26th Div;
short time on the firing line; discharged Camp Pike, AR, Apr 1919.       35,y
