No, I am not related to the Sumner family. I enjoy research and have learned of several sites to check.
Here is a link to the rootsweb site that has a little information.

Click on Search Family Trees. In the search fields enter the name for Earl Sumner, death California, spouse, Rosa, then click Search. If you enter too much information it sometimes limits what you can find. The information at this site is that he was born in AR, not OK. I did notice that the last update was 2001.
There is a little bit of information about John Sumner having a 2nd family.
Sometimes there are errors in information posted, but at least it is a starting place that might help you find more.
