Hell-o, I am from Southern California, born and raised. My maiden name is Ditemore. Until recentely I thought that our family was it for Dittemore's! That is until the internet. I even found another Diann although she spelled it differently. Talk about a mind blow. I thought I was certainly the only Diann Dittemore on the planet. Not so... Anyway, I had a cousin named Stephen Dittemore who died @ 43 yrs. of age about 3 yrs. ago. He was mugged believe it or not. We have a copy of a geneology record that is sort of neat. I do know that our original decendant was Michael Dittemore and he had two sons. I came from Adam. I traced my family back 9 generations but haven't a clue about my German ancestors. I'm sure they were EXTREMELY poor though. I am 43, married and have three children. I used to despise the name Dittemore. You can't imagine the strange names the kids came up with to call me. To risque' for the internet. I know that I had some realitves from Missouri and that we have a cemetary full Dittemore's there. My grandparents died about 27 years ago which left their 6 kids. four of them are left. They are in their 60'and 70's. e-mail me if you please @ sabrks@mscomm.com
