The Whole Hog or None
Last Saturday night, J. S. WEAVER and CHARLEY HOGUE were brought to Ardmore by some indignant citizens who arrested them near Elmore, charging them with stealing a large 300 pound hog from a widow woman named ARMSTRONG who lived near Cornish. From witnesses, these two men went to Mrs. Armstrong’s hog pen last Thursday night and after getting the hog about a mile from the house, they killed it. They put it in their wagon and after driving 20 miles, they reached Weaver’s home. But parties were on their track and came upon them at Weaver’s home and arrested them. They still had the hog, and not only were the marks recognized, most of the hair was left on the head, which was recognized by the parties. They were so indignant; they did not wait for an officer but took the two men to Ardmore and turned them over to Deputy JACK MARTIN.
