My husband's g grandfather was:
Walter L. BURRIS b.ca.1883 TX.
I believe his parents may be:
Vol & S.B.(Sarah) BURRIS as found in 1880 Precinct 2, Parker Co., TX Census as one son W.C shown then fits age of Walter. Following them in later years on census too fits that this is our Walter and his parents.
I am now looking for any data on Vol BURRIS b.ca.1857 TX. His parents according to 1880 Census were b.KY and TN.
In later years Vol and his family are found in:
1900 Berlin Roger Mills OK shows Vol and his family.
1910 Bryan Co OK Census shows he was born in TX and his father and mother were born in TX as well.
Walter BURRIS death cert of 21 Nov 1918 said he was born in Madill OK, yet i believe he only lived there after his parents had moved from TX to OK.
