I'm researching my family history, my problems are with the Tanner surname in my family. My GGrandfather was named Allen or Allain Sherman Tanner. He served in the Cival War Co D 14th Ga inf. He was married before he married my GGrandmother to whom I don't know, but he had a son by the name of Fawn Tanner born in Wood Co TX my uncle told me. I was surfing the white pages of the phone book on my computer last night and I found more Tanners in OK than any other state. And I know at one time my Grandpa Tanner lived there. I would love to find some links to this family because this is my favorite side of the family.
