Nancy Irene (Areeny) NIX was my paternal g-grandmother but I can't seem to find any information on her before her marriage to William R. Taylor on Sept. 1860, then 2nd marriage to James D. Funderburk on Sept. 1878 (both marriages in Mississippi). I have found an 1860 Monroe Co., MS census which might be her living in a household w/ Delilah Scott, I.(J.?)M. Nix (male-26 yrs old), Green Nix (male-22 y/o), & Austin Nix (male-21 y/o), but whether this is the Nancy I am looking for I don't know. James & Nancy (Nix)Funderburk had 3 children & moved to the Hartshorne area, Pittsburgh Co., OK. I know other Funderburks moved to the Hartshorne area also & I believe other Nix did as well.
Nancy is buried in an unkept, overgrown cemetery at Brush Hill, McIntosh Co., OK. Other Nix graves are there, but I can't presently put my hands on the names of the Nixs buried there.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
