Sebe Bennefield kills Joe Boyd before 1907

According to the Ada Evening News, 1910 Judge (Justice) Baker refused to hear the case of Sebe Bennefield, under a ten year sentence, who killed JOe Boyd in McIntosh Co. before Statehood.

I am very interested in the Bennefield family who settled in OK because of my relation to them. I would like to know more about the shooting, apparently in the late 1900s or early 1900s. Does anyone have any idea how I can get good quality copies of this story, AND the story mentioned in my other posting about the murder of Dock Bennefield?

I have tried to find the Eufala paper that carried the Dock Bennefield story with no results. Is there someone who is an expert in this area that can help or give me clues on where to begin to search? Need help as you can see. Thanks, all. Cassandra
