Walker & Ray Family Idabel OK

Searching for information on the family (and descendants of) Elijah "Lige" and Gertrude (Glenn) Walker. Elijah was born in 1888 in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana to William "Bill" Walker and Savannah "Bantie" Reed. Elijah and Gertrude were married September 30, 1906 in Nevada County, Arkansas--I have the original marriage License certificate that was never claimed at the courthouse.

In 1894, William "Bill" Walker along with his brother Lee Walker and sister Carrie Walker-Willingham (and several other families from Claiborne Parish) migrated to Nevada County, Arkansas.

Elijah's brothers and sisters were;
1. Alvin Walker married Luella Cornelius
2. Lola Walker married 1st Howard Gilmore; 2nd John Greer
3. Hattie Walker married T Hayes
4. Amanda Walker married Arthur Livingston
5. Malvin Walker married 1st Mary ; 2nd Naomi Hamilton

Elijah and Gertrude's known chlidren were, (born in Nevada County, Arkansas);
1.Burnell "Bo" Walker--possibly worked on Rodeo circuit
2.Cassie M. Walker married a Minister with the surname Ray
3.William Walker
4.Levera Walker

Elijah died in Idabel; McCurtain County, OK and is buried in the Williamston Cemetery.
