In researching old newspaper microfilm, I came upon this
bit of information on Idabel postoffices.

Oct.7,1911 McCurtain Gazette

WILL BUILD A NEW POST OFFICE

Ex-Judge Barnes Makes Contract with P.O.
Department to Rent Quarters

THE LEASE CALLS FOR TEN YEARS

Present Quarters Inadequate for Rapidly
Increasing Volume of Postal Business

Construction of a 25X80 foot brick building
on the vacant property just east of the Wyrick
building, to be used as a post office for ten years.
Mr. Barnes is to provide up-to-date fixtures and re-
ceive a rental of $30 a month, etc.....


Now if one just knows where the Wyrick building was/is
located.....
