What no Shinewell or Cerro Gordo,Oklahoma in McCurtain County. I was born at Idabel but grew up in the communities of Shinewell and Cerro Gordo. Both are on the Arkanas line road but on the Oklahoma side. Shinewell had a school it was discrict 77. Cerro Gordo Okla had a school and it was called Red Branch School. They both consolidaed with Haworth in the 1950s. My dad Jeff Smith went to the Red Branch School in Cerro Gordo, he was born in 1905. However my mom Ruby McDonald attended grade school at Midway school in Goodwater, she was born in 1909.
