History of McCurtain Co. Towns
Posted by: M. Watson (ID *****9634) Date: July 15, 2005 at 11:02:40

I'm seeking information on the history of McCurtain County Towns, especially the origin of city/town names but also formation and early history.

Any information is greatly appreciated, even if that information is simply the address or phone number of someone I could contact regarding this information.

I have not decided exactly what I'm going to do with the information. I will likely make the information available to people online or possibly publish a leaflet. I am also considering the long term goal of publishing a book with this type of information for all the cities and towns of Oklahoma. McCurtain county is sort of my guinea pig. I say this because if you provide me with information I may request your consent to reproduce.
