Since you mention in yourlast message that he might not have come to McCurtain County until 1911 and was in Arkansas prior to that, I checked the Arkansas census for 1910. I found the following entry ... maybe it's your William?

Brown, William H. 49 GA (parents birth states blank)
Sahra (wife) 53 GA (SC/SC)
Cora (dau) 15 AL (GA/GA)

This particular William H. Brown is also listed as being a Foreman for the railroad. Since daughter Cora is shown has having been born in Alabama, it indicates their movement through that state (about 1895 or so).

If this is him, the entry was located in Enumeration District 112, Valley Twp, Oauchita County, Arkansas (federal series T-624, roll 59, part 3, page 13A)

Good luck again.
