Hello Faye Brown.I'm pretty sure that if we can't connect our Prides that we can connect our Dillards.I don't know much about the Prides except that my great Aunt Carrie Fitzgerald married Morgan Pride, I think in Amity, Arkansas and the minister was her father (my great grandfather) Rev. W.A. Fitzgerald. The Dillards in southwest Arkansas are pretty much connected. They came by wagon train from the Spartanburg, SC area along with their friends, neighbors, in-laws and cousins: Reids, Bryants/Briants, Tollesons, and a few others. Many settled in Cherokee County, Alabama and Pontotoc County, Mississippi. The remainder traveled on to Clark and Pike Counties in Arkansas.A few moved on to Oklahoma. These families were very prolific and intermarried with each other often.I'd like to hear from you and share what Ihave on the Prides and Dillards.Email me at [email protected]
