The two families were side by side in the 1910 Pulaski Co., Missouri census. Her father Robert L Denton a widow, b. 1867 in Missouri was listed as retail merchant. Sisters Sylvia and Laura. James M Elkins b 1858 Missouri, wife Rebecca b. 1873 [his second wife] sons Edward L b. 1892, Arthur B. b.1896nad Meridith P b.1908, daughter Blanche Z b. 1899.

The 1900 Pulaski census shows Robert L Denton and wife Jennie E. b.Feb 1874 Missouri.

The 1880 Pulaski census shows James M Elkins, wife Mandy, son Robert and mother-in-law Louisia Carmack.

Mandy (Maranda) Carmack was the daughter of Lewis and Louisia Carmack.

James M Elkins was the son of Samuel D Elkins and Martha Jane Wilson both of Roane County Tennessee
