Census Look-up: As close to 1911 as possible, Elkins/Denton

Freda Letha Elkins, b. 12 Apr. 1911, Pryor, Mayes, OK

I'm looking for any information on her parents, especially her father. The information I have is the following:

Edward W. Elkins, ?
Ethel Fay Denton, b. 11 Oct. 1894, Crocker, Pulaski, Missouri,
d. 5 Oct. 1981, SA, OC, California

I'm especially interested in information about her father, especially if the two of them were married/living together during the census. I have reason to believe that they moved to the area from Missouri not long before. Any ideas about why they would move to Oklahoma? I don't know if they had family there.
