I doubt that there were any funeral homes operating in 1924. However, there are copies of newspapers available at the Pryor, OK library. They start about 1906 and continue up to the present day.You will need a death date. Have you tried to get a death certificate for Silas/Cyrus? I would say to try that next. Write to:
Div. of Vital Records
Oklahoma State Dept. of Health
1000 NE 10th Street, P. O. Box 53551
Oklahoma City, OK 73152-3551
I think the price went up to $15.00 recently. You will need to send a photo I.D. (Drivers License photo will do)
Mayes Co. Genealogical Society
P. O. Box 924
Chouteau, OK 74337
