According to my grandmother, who lived and worked in and around Guthrie at that time, there was indeed a convent near Guthrie. It was on the "Guthrie Road" several miles west of the town. I've seen the old building many times, but it's been years since the last time. My grandmother was well acquainted with the nuns there. One of her sisters went to a school run by the convent.
